WHAAAT?

No. No. Hell no.

At the insistence of the McCain campaign, the Oct. 2 debate between the Republican nominee for vice president, Gov. Sarah Palin, and her Democratic rival, Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., will have shorter question-and-answer segments than those for the presidential nominees, the advisers said. There will also be much less opportunity for free-wheeling, direct exchanges between the running mates.

Picking Palin has been the one of the most cynically sexist moves in American political history (which says A LOT).

poor women, apparently we need special treatment because our character is too weak to withstand that which men withstand. don't hold us to the same standards, we're different.

I was really looking forward to Biden going RAW on her. And I mean that as a feminist.
